United States First Circuit

Conviction of defendant for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine and other drug related crimes, as well as a sentence of life imprisonment, is affirmed where: 1) the district court did not err in denying defendant's motion for judgment of acquittal as there was sufficient evidence to support the conviction; 2) defendant's challenges to the district court's evidentiary rulings are meritless; 3) district court did not abuse its discretion in denying defendant's motion for a mistrial based on his own disruption of the proceedings nor based on the alleged prosecutorial misconduct; and 4) the district court did not err in increasing the sentence based on two prior felony drug convictions.
