Thompson v. Coca Cola Co., 07-2107
In an action involving an employee who was allegedly terminated for taking an unauthorized vacation without giving proper prior notice, summary judgment for employer is affirmed over claims that: 1) sufficient evidence was adduced to establish a termination of employment based on race and national origins; and 2) comments by employee's supervisor and colleagues exposed him to a "hostile work environment" in violation of Massachusetts law.
