Conviction for conspiring to use or using extortionate means to collect an extension of credit in violation of 18 U.S.C. section 894 is affirmed over claims that: 1) district court erroneously denied a pro se motion for new counsel; 2) the government committed a discovery violation by not disclosing the criminal record of the victim until six days before trial; 3) the district court erroneously excluded certain evidence defendants adduced for impeachment purposes; 4) the district court erroneously denied a mistrial motion in light of the government's unduly prejudicial testimony at trial; 5) the prosecution made inappropriate statements during closing which prejudiced the outcome of the case and violated due process; and 6) the district court erroneously instructed the jury on "reasonable doubt".
