Lugo-Velazquez v. Stiefel Lab., Inc., 07-2138
In an appeal primarily addressing an employee's ERISA-related claims against a former employer, summary judgment for employer is affirmed over employee's claims that: 1) he was denied disability benefits to which he was entitled under ERISA section 502(a)(1)(B); 2) he was denied access to documents and descriptions relating to a disability plan and an employee stock bonus plan under ERISA section 502(a)(1)(A), (a)(3), and (c); and 3) his employer's improper plan administration and failure to provide certain benefits to him as a resident of Puerto Rico amounted to national origin discrimination in violation of Title VII.
