United States First Circuit
US. v. Lachman, 06-1058, 06-1060, 06-1061
Conviction and sentence for violation and conspiring to violate the Export Administration Act of 1979 is affirmed over defendant's claims that: 1) the jury's verdict was not supported by sufficient evidence of his scienter; 2) the district court erred in denying his motion for new trial in light post-trial discovery of a Brady violation; and 3) his trial counsel operated under a conflict of interest and thereby deprived him of effective assistance of counsel under the Sixth Amendment.
