United States First Circuit
Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians v. Ryan, 06-1774
In a Native American tribe's suit for declaratory and injunctive relief to prevent the Maine Human Rights Commission from hearing an employment complaint against it, dismissal is affirmed where, even if the tribe were not precluded from bringing the lawsuit based on the outcome of a previous lawsuit against the Commission, it is clear that the tribe would lose on the merits.
