United States First Circuit
NEPSK, INC. v. TOWN OF HOULTON, 01-1787
Although a district court cannot enforce its local rules in a way that conflicts with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, given federal Rule 12(c)'s silence on the subject, there is no conflict between Rule 12(c) motions for judgment on the pleadings and District of Maine Local Rule 7(b), which deems waived any opposition to a motion not filed within 10 days after the motion.
