MELANSON v. BROWNING-FERRIS INDS., INC., 01-1914

A release of an employee's Title VII rights is governed by the same principles that apply to the release of other federal statutorily-created rights, and if a release is knowing and voluntary, as evidenced by the totality of the circumstances, it will be given legal effect.
