ACEVEDO-LOPEZ v. POLICE DEP'T OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PUERTO RICO, 00-1093

Puerto Rico's Eleventh Amendment immunity from suit for money damages covers ADA claims against the police department, and Law 44 of Puerto Rico, codified at 1 P.R. Laws Ann. 501, et. seq., does not constitute a waiver of Eleventh Amendment immunity from suit under the ADA.
