United States First Circuit
GARCIA v. IMMIGRATION & NATURALIZATION SERV., 00-1018
Petitioner was "convicted," and therefore subject to deportation, even though he was seventeen years of age at the time he pleaded guilty to the criminal offense. Petitioner's plea cannot be construed as a juvenile delinquency because he was being tried as an adult.
