United States Eleventh Circuit

US v. Covington, 08-10513

Defendant's murder for hire conviction and sentence are affirmed, where: 1) the District Court properly admitted evidence of Defendant's prior assault on the victim because it was probative of Defendant's motive; and 2) Defendant's claim that his counsel in his prior state convictions was ineffective was irrelevant to his sentence.
