United States Eleventh Circuit

Pace v. McNeil, 0715528

In conviction for first-degree murder and armed robbery in the death of taxi cab driver, denial of petition for writ of habeas corpus is affirmed where there was no basis in the record to conclude that the state supreme court's decision denying criminal-petitioner's claim of ineffective assistance of counsel in the penalty phase of the trial was contrary to, or involved an unreasonable application of, clearly established Supreme Court precedent, or was based on an unreasonable determination of the facts.
