United States Eleventh Circuit

Webb-Edwards v. Orange County Sheriff's Office, 07-12599

Summary judgment for defendant is affirmed over claims that the district court erred in: 1) dismissing claims of sexual harassment on grounds that plaintiff failed to demonstrate being subjected to suffering pervasive harassment to constitute a hostile and adverse work environment; 2) concluding that the record showed defendant exercised reasonable care to prevent and correct any sexual harassing behavior, and plaintiff unreasonably failed to take advantage of her employer's corrective measures or to avoid any harm to her; 3) dismissing retaliation claim based on plaintiff's failure to demonstrate that a decision not to appoint her as a School Resource Officer was based on her gender; and 4) granting judgment as a matter of law for claims of gender discrimination and constructive discharge.
