US v. Dean, 06-13946
Conviction and sentence for income tax evasion and attempted interference with the administration of internal revenue laws are affirmed over claims that: 1) there was insufficient evidence to convict defendant of the attempt at obstruction; 2) the jury received erroneous or misleading instructions; 3) the district court failed to comply with the Jury Selection and Service Act of 1968 by denying him an opportunity to inspect the Grand Jury list and failing to comply with the District Court Jury Plan; and 4) the court improperly applied the holding in US v. Booker to defendant's sentence, which addressed pre-Booker conduct.
