United States Eleventh Circuit
US v. Williams, 04-15117
Convictions on 94 crimes, including unlawfully dispensing controlled substances resulting in death, are affirmed over claims that: 1) evidence presented regarding defendant's prescribing behavior was "framed pursuant to the wrong legal standard"; and 2) the district court erred by refusing to give the jury instruction defendant proposed on good faith. Sentences are vacated where the district court enhanced sentences based on its own findings of fact.
