United States Eleventh Circuit

GUYANA TELEPHONE & TELEGRAPH CO., LTD. v. MELBOURNE INT'L COMMUNICATIONS, LTD., 02-13676

Plaintiff could not avail itself of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA) because it was a supplier, rather than a "consumer" for the transactions in question, thus its complaint under the FDUTPA. Denial of plaintiff's Rule 50(b) motion concerning the measure of recovery is reversed.
