KNIGHT v. JACOBSON, 01-15506

A police officer is entitled to qualified immunity to a claim of unconstitutional arrest, because probable cause existed to believe plaintiff had committed a misdemeanor assault, and violation of state arrest law cannot itself support a 42 U.S.C. section 1983 claim.
