United States Eleventh Circuit

US v. CANO, 98-5458

District court did not abuse its discretion in permitting a police detective (unqualified as an expert) to interpret "hieroglyphic"-like drug ledgers, phone books, and date books seized by detectives from a drug operation; a prosecutor did not impermissibly vouch for the credibility of government witnesses.
