United States Eleventh Circuit

When a complaint does not specifically allege damages, removal to state court is proper if the complaint makes it apparent that the amount in controversy exceeds the jurisdictional requirement. Otherwise, the court may look to the notice of removal or conduct an evidentiary hearing.
