US v. AM. STATES INS. CO., 00-15411

The statute of limitations under 28 USC 2415(a) bars a suit seeking damages for a breach of surety agreement where the government waits more than six years from the accrual of its cause of action and more than one year after termination of a final decision in an administrative proceeding. The Contract Dispute Act does not apply to claims stemming from the breach of surety agreement.
