Casey v. W. Las Vegas Indep. Sch. Dist., 06-2054
In a suit brought against a school district and officials alleging that they demoted and eventually fired plaintiff in retaliation for exercising her First Amendment rights, denial of qualified immunity for defendants is reversed in part where plaintiff did not show that her expressions regarding the Head Start program and miscellaneous violations of state or federal law were made in her capacity as a citizen and not pursuant to her "official duties."
