United States Tenth Circuit
Weaver v. Chavez, 04-2110
A judgment against plaintiff following a jury trial on her claim that she was discharged from her employment with a City Attorney's office in violation of her rights guaranteed by the First Amendment is affirmed where judgment as a matter of law on her claim that she was fired for supporting an opponent of the mayor was proper, and the district court did not err in concluding that her workplace speech regarding hiring practices sufficiently interfered with the operation of the City Attorney's office to support her termination.
