Supreme Court of Texas
Land Rover U.K., Ltd. v. Hinojosa, 04-0794
A judgment of the court of appeals affirming fees awarded to a guardian ad litem in a suit against a tire manufacturer and a retailer arising from a fatal Land Rover rollover accident is reversed where $100,000 was not a reasonable fee for the services the attorney provided because exceptional circumstances did not support including compensation for other cases he had to refuse in the amount, and some of the time included in his hour estimate was not compensable.
