Supreme Court of Texas

City of Dallas v. Thompson, 05-0787

In a personal injury suit against the city of Dallas arising from injuries sustained when plaintiff tripped and fell in an airport on a coverplate protruding up from the floor, a court of appeals' ruling for the plaintiff is reversed where the city was immune from suit since there was no evidence it actually knew of the alleged protruding coverplate.
