Campbell v. State of Texas, PD-1081-09
In a prosecution of defendant for possession of cocaine where he received a sentence of ninety-nine years' imprisonment, the court of appeals' holding that defendant's notice of appeal was untimely in dismissing his appeal for lack of jurisdiction is reversed and remanded as the pleadings of pro se inmates are deemed filed at the time they are delivered to prison authorities for forwarding to the court clerk.
