Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas

Winfrey v. State of Texas, PD-0987-09

Court of appeals' conviction of defendant for murder and imposition of a seventy-five year sentence are reversed and a judgment of acquittal is entered as, while the dog-scent lineup evidence may raise a strong suspicion of defendant's guilt, standing alone, this evidence is insufficient to establish a person's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
