Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas

McKenna v. State of Texas, 0053-07

In a bail bond forfeiture case, a court of appeals ruling reforming an order denying any remittitur to the bail bond company is reversed where, on the record, a reasonable trial court could have concluded that equity did not require any remittitur of the bond amount. Consequently, there was no abuse of discretion on the part of the trial court, and the court of appeals erred in holding otherwise.
