Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas

Harrison v. State of Texas, 1226-05

A court of appeals decision reversing a judgment of conviction for manslaughter and injury to a child is reversed where the court of appeals erred in holding that a witness's volunteered and non-responsive opinion testimony that appellant was a "good" and "sweet" person did not open the door to character evidence including evidence of appellant's prior assault convictions and citations.
