People v. Carter, 201

Defendants' sentences for "simple" knowing, unlawful possession of a loaded weapon was properly run consecutively to the sentence for another crime committed with the same weapon are affirmed, where: 1) defendants completed the crime of possession independently of their commission of the later crimes; and therefore, 2) consecutive sentencing was permissible.
