Court of Appeals of New York

The court held that a trial court's failure to recite a defendant's rights under Boykin v. Alabama, 395 U.S. 238 (1969), does not automatically invalidate an otherwise voluntary and intelligent plea where the record as a whole affirmatively shows a defendant intentionally relinquished those rights. Convictions for various offenses in an opinion consolidating three separate appeals are affirmed and vacated.
