Court of Appeals of New York
People v. Ambers, 165
Conviction for sexual conduct against a child, rape, and child endangerment is affirmed where: 1) defendant has not established that his counsel's failure to raise a statute of limitations defense to the child endangerment counts was not a reasonable strategy; 2) defense counsel's failure to object to some parts of the People's summation, while objecting to other parts and twice moving for a mistrial, did not deny defendant meaningful representation.
