People v. Patel, 120

The relief established by People v Syville, which held that defendants are entitled to a common-law writ of error coram nobis in order to pursue untimely appeals to alleviate a constitutional wrong when a defendant has no other procedural recourse, is available only in "rare" cases, and here none of the three defendants have established that they are entitled to said relief.
