United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company v. American Re-Insurance Company, 1

In claim against reinsurers for reimbursement of its asbestos settlement payments, summary judgment for plaintiff is modified, and it is affirmed in part and denied in part, where: 1) there is an issue of fact whether plaintiff, in allocating the settlement amount, reasonably attributed nothing to the so called "bad faith" claims made against it; 2) there is an issue of fact whether certain claims were given unreasonable values for settlement purposes; but 3) the courts below correctly rejected the defendants' other defenses.
