Court of Appeals of New York

People v. Mays, 225

Defendant's conviction for robbery is affirmed where: 1) defendant did not preserve his claim that the trial judge committed an O'Rama error by neglecting to give counsel notice and a say before formulating a response to the jury's requests during the playback of the surveillance video; and 2) defendant's contention that the trial judge improperly delegated judicial responsibility in contravention of People v. Ahmed is without merit.
