Court of Appeals of New York
People v. Bedessie, 46
Convictions of a day care worker for sex crimes against a four-year-old boy are affirmed, where the trial judge did not abuse his discretion when he declined to hold a Frye hearing and excluded the proposed testimony of an expert witness on the issue of the reliability of a confession, even assuming that the defendant's confession was not corroborated, as the expert did not propose testimony relevant to the defendant or her interrogation.
