Court of Appeals of New York

People v. Khan, 32

In an appeal arising from the defendant's convictions for health care fraud in the fourth degree and grand larceny in the third degree, the appellate division's affirmance of the convictions is affirmed, where: 1) the convictions were supported by legally sufficient evidence; and 2) there was no violation of the defendant's right to a speedy trial, because the most time the prosecution could be charged with was well short of the six-month statutory maximum.
