In a prosecution for murder, convictions are affirmed where: 1) the defendant did not meet his burden in showing that the positioning of the court officers directly behind him in the courtroom impeded his ability to converse privately with his attorney; 2) the defendant's assertion that the positioning of the court officers deprived him of a fair trial had no merit; and 3) the supreme court exercised sound discretion in permitting witnesses to testify about limited incidents of uncharged crimes leading to the shootings.
