Court of Appeals of New York

In re: Jimmy D., 157

In a juvenile's appeal from an order adjudicating him a juvenile delinquent and placed him on probation for 18 months, conditioned on cooperation with sex offender counseling, the order is affirmed where there was no evidence in the record that a detective's promise would have deceived defendant into thinking that if he confessed he would escape unprosecuted or unpunished, and therefore that his confession was not voluntary.
