Court of Appeals of New York

People v. Tolentino, 37

Defendant's conviction for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle is affirmed where the officers who stopped defendant's car learned defendant's identity when they stopped the car and that knowledge permitted the police to run a computer check that led to the retrieval of defendant's DMV records, and thus the trial court did not err in refusing to suppress those records.
