CAMPAIGN FOR FISCAL EQUITY v. STATE OF NEW YORK, 1 No. 74
The State has violated the mandate in art. XI, section 1 of the NY Constitution by establishing an education financing system that fails to afford New York City's public schoolchildren the opportunity guaranteed for a meaningful high school education. The State need only ascertain the actual cost of providing a sound basic education in the city.
