In a suit brought by a contractor under quantum meruit to recover for services that it rendered as a subcontractor on defendants' home improvement project, the circuit court's dismissal the case pursuant to section 2-619 of the Code of Civil Procedure, alleging plaintiff's failure to comply with the Home Repair and Remodeling Act barred plaintiff's recovery, is reversed where the Home Repair and Remodeling Act does not apply to subcontractors.
