People v. Wheeler, 102550
Conviction for murder is reversed and the matter remanded for a new trial where: 1) the evidence was sufficient to convict defendant; 2) the trial court acted within its discretion in excluding evidence offered by defendant to show that the murder was actually committed by a person who was in prison at the time of the murder; and 3) statements made by the prosecutor during closing arguments warrant the granting of a new trial.
