Supreme Court of Illinois

Bajwa v. Metro. Life Ins. Co., 95051

In a case arising from the stabbing death of a man in his Chicago apartment allegedly by an individual who took out a life insurance policy on the victim, the court finds, contrary to the trial court's ruling, that plaintiff's complaint count attempting to hold insurer liable because the decedent did not know about, or consent to, the issuance of the policy on his life should have been allowed to stand.
