Supreme Court of Illinois

People v. Ward, 98124

In an action for unlawful distribution of harmful materials to a minor, judgement affirmed where the ordinarily understood meaning of possession is not custody, as claimed by the defendant, but control of something or to have at one's disposal and the trial evidence was sufficient to prove this element beyond a reasonable doubt.
