Supreme Court of Illinois
People v. Collins, 97804
Conviction for reckless discharge of a firearm is affirmed where: 1) the evidence was sufficient to show that the area was a residential one in which other individuals were present who could have been endangered by the shooting; and 2) the court held that the applicable statute does not require proof that a specific person was actually endangered, but merely that someone could have been endangered.
