Supreme Court of Illinois
People v. Pitman, 95783
In the matter of an indictment for growing marijuana, motion to suppress evidence is affirmed where defendant had a reasonable expectation of privacy in the barn because he was in control of the farm, which belonged to his mother, and it did not matter that the barn was beyond the "curtilage" of the dwellings on the property.
