Supreme Court of Illinois
People v. Williams, 90137
In a conviction for first degree murder of a police officer where the death penalty was imposed, dismissal of pro se postconviction petition is affirmed over multiple claims of error where these were the only issues remaining due to the fact that, while the appeal was pending, the death sentence previously imposed was commuted by the then-Governor to a life term.
