Supreme Court of Illinois

Where a plaintiff has sustained a single, indivisible injury, and is awarded damages for those injuries by the court, she may not divide up her claim and bring successive proceedings to obtain additional damages, but rather must put forward all damages for which she seeks compensation, including prospective damages.
