Appellate Court of Illinois

In re Parentage of G.E.M., 3--06--0848

Appeal of denial of motion to dismiss and judgment of parentage entered against respondent is reversed and vacated where (1) voluntary acknowledgments were not properly vacated by the court since petitioner mother did not file a section 2-1401 petition; (2) order vacating the order of parentage, support and other issues was void due to lack of subject matter jurisdiction; (3) petitioner lacked standing to request vacating parental rights; and (4) order was void and did not vacate prior parental rights.
