Appellate Court of Illinois
Stemple v. Pickerill, 2070151
In the matter of a mandatory arbitration decision, judgment allowing defendants to withdraw their rejection of the arbitration award and barring plaintiffs from filing their own rejection of the award is reversed and the matter remanded where nothing in the supreme court or local rules authorizes the withdrawal of a previous rejection of an arbitration award, and permitting such a withdrawal creates the risk of unfairly imposing the arbitration award on a party that would have rejected it.
